The primary purpose of this position is to lead highly complex investigations through the PPL EU Event Analysis Program.

The Sr Event Analysis Lead will implement and administer the PPL EU Event Analysis Program across company business lines.

The Lead will provide direction to teams, lead high impact event analyses, ensure the quality of findings and corrective actions, and identify and act on incident trends.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or five years of experience as a member of an event analysis, corrective action, root cause analysis, audit, or process improvement program with a quality-related certification (CMQ/OE, CQPA, CQA, or related).


Demonstrated success performing formal root cause analysis or event analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Strong capability to manipulate, analyze, and categorize data using a computerized database system and interpret data for trends and learning opportunities.


Possess a basic understanding of the work of an electric utility.


Ability to communicate results through reports, metrics, and performance indicators; and to communicate results, lessons learned, and findings through written and verbal story-centric methods.


Experience managing a standing program or group of projects.


Enthusiasm for interacting effectively at all organizational levels including both senior management and field employees through relationship building and customer service.


Ability to rapidly learn new business and technical concepts through discussion, research, and questioning.

Ability to work independently and be effective in team settings.

Ability to monitor and control many analyses to timely completion.
Preferred Qualifications

Five years of experience supporting an electric utility or other physical operations business with responsibilities leading an event analysis, root cause analysis, audit, or performance improvement program.

Possess excellent analytical problem-solving skills for complex issues and strong interpersonal communication ability.

Formal root cause analysis certification (TapRooT®, Cause Mapping, 5-Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, or related).

Robust ability to identify, model, identify improvements to, and implement business processes across a broad range of subject areas with a strong attention to detail.

Aptitude for identifying and implementing innovative improvements both inside and outside of identified position responsibilities.

Possess an understanding of human behavior and its effects on processes and performance, and an ability account for human factors in process design.

Formal project or program management certification (PMP, PgMP, etc.).

Experience influencing and collaborating within a matrix organization using a constructive approach to achieve results.

Ability to identify and implement best practices from both inside and outside of the company and industry

Demonstrated capability to perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly.
